Today is a special day for me: after a few months of work, I am finally opening DynaBlogger to the public! 🎉
This is the first time that I launch a SaaS on my own, and I am very happy with the result. The app is constantly evolving, but I made sure it has a solid foundation from the start, with all the most important features anyone would expect from a publishing platform.
You may be wondering why I built another blogging platform given that quite many exist already. Excellent question!
I ended up working on this blogging platform after evaluating a number of possible projects that I could work on as a team of one. As a blogger myself, I liked the idea of a blogging platform that would sit between the extremes represented by some tools that do too much for many of us, and tools that go in the opposite direction by offering a very minimal set of features - often too minimal. I wanted something in between: nothing too complicated, but with all the features I really need without any bloat.
A lot of care has been put into building features that are typical for a blogging platform, in order to deliver a publishing experience as smooth as possible. However - despite the name - DynaBlogger can also be used to publish other kinds of websites, not just blogs. In fact, this very website you are looking at is also published on DynaBlogger!
With DynaBlogger you can publish most kinds of text content that may include grids - for more advanced layouts - as well as tables, embeds, and images.
The app currently has five simple themes to choose from, but I will be adding more in the near future. Later on, any user will be able to share their themes on a sort of marketplace, if they would like.
All DynaBlogger plans allow you to add custom domains; the Plus and Premium plans also allow multiple websites as well as collaboration, so you can share your sites with your team and work on them together, which is perfect for an organisation. Or you can start with the Starter plan if all you need is a single website and you are the only person who will be working on it.
DynaBlogger is now my full time job, and I am looking forward to building on top of what I already have. However, in the beginning I will focus on improving the product by listening to early feedback and suggestions.
I will be posting here about product updates as well as anything that is related to DynaBlogger or blogging in a way or another, so stay tuned!
In the meantime, I hope you will take the time to give DynaBlogger a try and that you'll like it as much as I do. You can sign up for a 14 days free trial (no credit card required) that gives you access to all the features. What are you waiting for? Create a blog and start writing today!
